Spring Cleaning and the Promotion of the Wood Energies
Here are some suggestions for accomplishing this. This is not an exhaustive list. If you would like more instruction and direction on some of these things, bring it up and will talk more about it during your next acupuncture session. Therapies: acupuncture, a detox abdominal massage with hot stone therapy, lymph massage. Foods: Sprouts, leafy greens, daikon, radish, mung beans, carrots, young greens, shiitake mushrooms, anti-oxidant foods. Natural products: Green Magma and other “green” drinks, Modifilan and other concentrated seaweeds, Red Marine Algae, Tonic Alchemy. Herbs: Milk thistle, schisandra, nettle At home daily practices: Castor oil packs, skin brush, walk in the woods or grassy areas, deep breathing exercises, Hara massage. Weekly practices: 1-day fast per week of consuming only freshly made fruit and vegetable juices (wheat grass, too); Epsom salt or green tea baths, air the house and/or office.
